Baptisms
Infant Baptisms are scheduled on the second Sunday of every month. Any parent who is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church is welcome to present his/her child for baptism. Baptism is a celebration of God’s covenant with His people, a sign of God’s grace, and the “initiation rite” into the community of faith. The congregation, as well as the parents, take vows to raise the child in the Lord. A parent may invite special friends to stand up front during a child's baptism, but the Presbyterian church has no vows for godparents. Prior to the baptism of your child, parents are required to attend a "baptism class" which are held the last Sunday of every month (except December). To schedule a baptism for a child, contact the church office or one of the pastors.
Adult baptisms are celebrated whenever a person “of age” professes faith in Christ for the first time, and if the person has not been baptized in another Christian church.
