Baptisms

Infant Baptisms are scheduled on the second Sunday of the month on the main campus, and the first Sunday of the month at the Dilworthtown campus.  Any parent who is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church is welcome to present his/her child for baptism.  Baptism is a celebration of God’s covenant with His people, a sign of God’s grace, and the “initiation rite” into the community of faith. The congregation, as well as the parents, take vows to raise the child in the Lord.  A parent may invite special friends to stand up front during a child's baptism, but the Presbyterian church has no vows for godparents.   To schedule a baptism for a child, contact our church secretary or one of the pastors.

Adult baptisms are celebrated whenever a person “of age” professes faith in Christ for the first time, and if the person has not been baptized in another Christian church.
