WESTMINSTER’S PRESCHOOL

Parent-And-Me – Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

	Children must be 2 by September 1, 2006
	This is a great first time preschool experience for the young two year old.
	Children do not have to be toilet trained.
	Class size is 12 to 13 children and is staffed by a teacher and teacher’s aide
	Parent or caregiver is required to accompany and interact with the child each class day and is asked to sign a Child Protection Policy Statement. (Siblings are not permitted to attend with the parent and child.)

2-1/2 Year Old Preschool Class - two days per week from 9:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m

	Children must be 2 by February 1, 2006
	This preschool class is designed for the older 2-year-old child who is ready and able to be away from his/her parent for a longer period of time. Children do not have to be toilet trained, but must provide necessary diapering supplies.
	Classes held Monday and Wednesday OR Tuesday and Thursday.
	Class size is 12 to 13 children and is staffed by a teacher, teacher’s aide and parent volunteer
	Parents are asked to volunteer 6-7 days per year per child and are asked to sign a Child Protection Policy Statement for Volunteers. While volunteering, the parents should follow the guidelines set by the preschool and be actively involved with the children at all times.

3 Year Old Preschool Class - two or three days per week

	Children must be 3 by September 1, 2006
	The 2-day classes are designed for the younger three-year-old who are experiencing their first time away from a parent.
	The 3-day classes are usually for the older three-year-old who has had a previous preschool experience.
	Children do not have to be toilet trained, but must be actively attempting to accomplish this skill. Parents must supply diapering supplies as needed.
	Two day classes are: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 - 12:00 OR Wednesday and Friday 9:00 -12:00
	Three day classes are: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon OR Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon OR Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
	Class size is 15 to 16 children and is staffed by a teacher and teacher’s aide

4 Year Old Preschool Class - three or four days per week

	Children must be 4 by September 1, 2006
	All 4-year-old classes present the necessary readiness skills for the child to go directly into kindergarten the following year; however, the 4-day program is specifically designed for the child who has completed at least one prior year of preschool, but does not meet the age requirement for the Pre-Kindergarten class
	Three day classes are : Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon OR Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
	Four day classes are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:00 a.m. - noon OR Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12:30p.m.-3:00 p.m.
	Class size is 15 to 16 children and is staffed by a teacher and teacher’s aide

Pre-Kindergarten Class - four days per week

	Children must be 4 by February 1, 2006
	This 4-day class is specifically designed for the child who has had at least two prior years of preschool experience or who has completed a 4-year-old class and is not ready to enter kindergarten. The children are expected to sit for longer periods of time for readiness activities. This class continues to present the academic readiness skills necessary for a successful transition to kindergarten for the following school year.
	These four day classes are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:00 a.m. - noon OR Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday& Thursday 12:30p.m.– 3:00 p.m.
	Class size is 15 to 16 children and is staffed by a teacher and teacher’s aide
