And so spiritual disciplines are, "a means of receiving God's grace… They allow us to place ourselves before God so God can transform us." Richard Foster in Celebration of Discipline. This course will introduce students to the knowledge and practice of Christian spiritual disciplines such as solitude, silence, service, spiritual Bible reading and meditation, centering prayer, and being in community (to name a few).
