Welcome to Youth Ministry at Westminster!
Hebrews 10:24-25 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-- and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We believe in loving people. We think that is what Jesus taught us to do, and we want to be more like Jesus. We build each other up, we support one another, and we encourage each other when life gets tough. We believe this is important because, even though the Kingdom of God is more amazing than we could ever imagine, the Bible promises us that the Spirit is, even now!, making that Kingdom a reality here on earth. So we want to be a part of it, together. We do this by thinking theologically. That means that we try and take every thought captive and first ask ourselves, in EVERY situation, about what each situation looks like to God (2 Corinthians 10: 3-5). Then we try our best to live that way--every day.
We believe that we can change the world in both big and small ways. We know that the Spirit of Christ doesn't say that we are limited in anything, regardless of our age, gender, and race, or our questions and problems, or our past. We look ahead to our future in Christ, and we rely on Christ to use us in making that future a reality! (1 Timothy 4: 9-12)
Everything we do is open to you, whether you've been around for years or this is your first time at our church. So check out these web pages, and then come visit us. We're looking forward to hanging out with you!
