So God created human beings in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
—-Genesis 1:27
Imago Dei Youth Ministry borrows its name from the ancient Latin phrase for “image of God,” referring to God’s creating all people in His likeness. Today’s adolescents live in a world where the search for identity has become increasingly complex. It is our hope as a ministry that we would remind one another that God has already given us an identity, the imago dei., which we are called to live into as individuals and a community each day. It is our prayer that as we seek to love, serve, and reflect God’s story into the world we would be reminded that we and all those around us are the imago dei.
Imago Dei is the youth ministry community of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Dilworthtown Community Church. We strive to walk alongside high school and middle school students as they continue to discover who they are and who Christ is calling them to be. It is our hope and prayer that as students encounter Christ in new ways they would find themselves uniquely gifted and significant members of His body, called to witness to the work of Christ as they live into God’s dreams for the world. We would love for you to come and be a part of Imago Dei Youth Ministry.
