The Chosen Small Groups

The Chosen is a biblically-centered, quality TV series that tracks the life of Jesus through the gospels. This fall (September-November) Diane McFalls is launching two small group opportunities (one in person, one on Zoom) to watch and discuss the life of Jesus in a fresh way, in conjunction with reading the gospels and interacting with others about it. All are welcome and invite a friend!

Volunteers Needed in the Nursery

Beginning this fall, we have an urgent need for volunteers to help care for our littlest of littles in the Nursery. Volunteers commit to one Sunday morning each quarter (or four times a year). This is one great way to fulfill the Baptismal vows we make to our young families. Background clearances are required, but we can help you with those applications. Questions or interested in helping volunteer, Jill Reichert, Director of Children & Family Ministries.

New Online Giving

YouTube player

This week we changed our ONLINE GIVING platform to make it easier and more efficient. In this six minute video Lynn George walks you through how to donate or setup your recurring giving through the new system. Whether experienced or new to online giving, check out the enhancements or set up your NEW online recurring giving. Text giving also changed in this process. Watch this video (2.5 minutes) to learn the new text giving process.

Register Your Children for the 2025-2026 Program Year

We know it’s barely August, but it’s a great time to register your child(ren) for the 2025-2026 children & youth ministry year! We require parental consent and medical release forms for each child/youth participating in Westminster Presbyterian Church’s ministry programs or events. Click here to fill out the form and email a completed copy to Jill Reichert, Director of Children & Family Ministries or Chris Clark, Director of Youth & College Ministry.

Blessing of the Backpacks

9:00 & 10:30 am Sunday, August 24 • Sanctuary or Live Stream
Whether you are a student, teacher, professor, administrator, counselor, teacher’s aide, custodian, secretary, school nurse… or anyone going back to school…bring your backpack, briefcase, laptop, work bag, lunch box (whatever you carry to school) as we offer special blessings on those who will return to school soon. We will offer you a backpack tag and a special blessing during worship. Additional backpack tags and stickers will also be available.

Youth Summer Pool Party

5:30-7:30 pm Thursday, August 21 • Ted and Sherryl Strand’s House
Close out the summer with a pool party. Any youth going into middle or high school this fall is invited to cool off by the pool and catch up before the start of the school year. Wear your bathing suit and bring a towel. We will provide dinner. We ask everyone to bring an item to share for dinner and note what you’ll contribute when you sign up. Middle schoolers bring a snack and high schoolers bring a dessert. Sign up here. Don’t forget to invite a friend!

Westminster Thrift Shop Donation Drop Off

9:00 – 11:30 am Saturday, August 23 • Front Portico
Doing some summer cleaning? We welcome your donations to the Westminster Thrift Shop. Drop off women’s and men’s fall clothing (folded and in bags), accessories, house decor, housewares, small pieces of furniture, fall flowers and Halloween items. It is only through your donations that we are able to continue our outreach mission.

Dinner for 8 Returns this Fall!

Dinner for 8 is an opportunity to join a small group of eight people (couples and singles – all are welcome!) to gather for good food, great conversation, and Christian fellowship. Dinners rotate between different households or restaurants each month. The fall session will run from September through December. Registration will start this month.
