Support Sock It To Us

Our annual Sock drive is in full swing and runs throughout September. We welcome all NEW styles and sizes  – infants, children, and adults, and we will distribute to the following groups: Tick Tock Early Learning Center, St. Agnes Day Room, CYWA Gateway Shelter, Chester County Migrant Ministries, The Melton Center, Cheyney University, The Vine Ministry, and Broad Street Love. Our goal is to gather 2,000 socks this year. Bring your NEW sock donations to the bins located in Café 10 West. You can also order online, and have them shipped directly to the church, care of Office.

It’s Not too Late to Join a Small Group

  • Financial Peace University
If you’ve ever felt like you just can’t get control of your money, you’re not alone. You’d be surprised how many people you know are struggling just like you. But it’s time for that struggle to end—starting when you take the Financial Peace University course. In just nine lessons, you’ll learn biblical, commonsense ways of handling money. Classes begin on September 14. Click here to sign up. Questions? Contact Eric Dorville.
  • A Jesus Shaped Life
    7:00 pm Wednesdays starting Sept. 17 • Room 405 & Zoom
Jill Frankie is launching a new hybrid small group based on the book A Jesus-Shaped Life: How Biblically Sound Theology Deepens Our Relationship with God and Each Other by Lisa Harper.  In this study, we will learn about the Bible and how God is present in our lives. Have a conversation with God, learn more about him, and help your faith grow. This is a study that invites us to experience God in all his fullness rather than just memorizing facts about him. Click here to sign up. Questions? Contact Jill Frankie.
  • The Chosen Small Groups
The Chosen is a biblically-centered, quality TV series that tracks the life of Jesus through the gospels. This fall (September-November) Diane McFalls is launching two small group opportunities (one in person, one on Zoom) to watch and discuss the life of Jesus in a fresh way, in conjunction with reading the gospels and interacting with others about it. All are welcome and invite a friend!
  • Book Discussion Group
    10:00 am Monday, October 6 • Library
Join our book group when they discuss Long Bright River by Liz Moore. The book looks at the anatomy of a Philadelphia family rocked by the opioid crisis and the relationship between two sisters–one, suffering from addiction, who has suddenly gone missing amid a series of mysterious murders; the other a police officer who patrols the neighborhood from which she disappeared: a story about the formidable ties between place, family, and fate. Click here to sign up.
