Winter Weather Update: Monday, January 26
January 25, 2026Out of an abundance of caution, Westminster will be closed on Monday, January 26.
This includes the preschool and the church office. Most meetings and small groups will now meet virtually including The Chosen small group. Any questions on changes to meetings and small groups, please contact our staff.

Winter Weather Schedule Change: Sunday, January 25
January 22, 2026Due to the significant winter storm forecast for our area, our 10:00 am worship service will be online only. The building will be closed on Sunday.
Our Annual Congregational Meeting will meet via Zoom only at 11:00 am. We strongly encourage your participation, as the annual meeting includes important updates in the life of Westminster; your vote on Terms of Call for pastors; election of Endowment Fund Board members; receiving the 2025 Annual report (Click here to read it) and receiving the 2026 budget. Gerry McShane’s retirement celebration has been postponed to February 8. All other activities planned for Sunday are cancelled or will meet online. Watch for updates from specific ministry areas for more details. Stay safe, and we look forward to worshiping and meeting together online.
Early Bird Registration Open for the Men’s Retreat

Westminster Goes to the Sixers

Join us for an afternoon at the Sixers! We will do a group reservation and everyone will coordinate their own ride to and from the game. Tickets will be $41 per person. Click here to register by February 14 – only register if you are a definite go. Once we have final numbers we will purchase the tickets and then send out a Venmo link.
Mourning Star Grief Group Starts in February

Mourning Star is a Christ-centered small group that helps individuals navigate grief with others. The group meets in a series of 6 weeks in a row, weekly, with periodic breaks during the year. Our curriculum uses biblical application, discussion questions and easy-to-follow materials though the following purposes:
- Mutual encouragement in a confidential small group
- Navigating your unique grief journey
- Building your foundation of support
- Memories as a gift from God
- Handling challenges and human failings

January Series with David Brooks
January 22, 2026Due to the significant winter storm forecast for our area, our lunch and learn January Series at 12:00 pm Monday, January 26 has been canceled. Instead watch David Brooks presentation at Calvin University from 12:30-1:30 pm from home. He will help us become more understanding toward others and find the joy that comes from being seen. His latest book, How to Know a Person, draws on neuroscience, theater, philosophy, history, and education. He will share how this integrated approach can enhance human connection. Register for the Women’s Retreat

The world can feel overwhelming, and yet hope persists. Join women (16 and older) for a weekend of rest, renewal, and shared discovery. Together we will explore hope both spiritually and practically: the sacred stories that shape our lives and the practices that can set us free for vibrant, hope-filled living. This retreat offers a chance to step away from daily demands, breathe deeply, and reconnect with God’s gifts of strength and possibility. Join the Women’s Weekly Wednesday Bible Study as we discover Jesus’ invitation in the Sermon on the Mount. Children Grades 2-5: Communion Workshop
January 15, 202611:45 am – 2:00 pm Sunday, February 1 • The Site
Come learn about the Lord’s Supper in the Bible and how we celebrate this sacrament at Westminster. Lunch provided. Adults will have a break-out session for casual conversation on how they connect with the sacrament and our traditions at Westminster. Children will rotate through stations of hands-on learning experiences. We encourage participants to attend and help lead the Ash Wednesday service on February 18, when children will take Communion with their new-found understanding of the Lord’s Supper.
