Thank You Westminster: Emergency Food Collection!

The recent government shutdown and SNAP funding issues created a great need among our neighbors that struggle with food insecurity. Westminster showed its deep commitment to our community. In the last two weeks, Westminster donated 4,253 pounds of food and $5,460 in financial donations and gift cards! This incredibly generous amount will be split between Kennett Area Community Service (KACS) and the West Chester Food Cupboard (WCFC). Thank you for making a difference in providing our neighbors with the quality food choices they need and deserve especially during this holiday season. If you are interested in volunteering, please select the service in which you would like to participate and include the names of all participants where prompted so they can be included in the bulletin. Click here for more info or to sign up.

Return Donations for Our Emergency Food Drive by this Sunday

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…” —Matthew 25:35
The recent government shutdown and SNAP disruptions left many households vulnerable. We’re continuing to provide support—please help us keep food on their tables. We challenge you to donate at least one bag of non-perishable food in November. Click here for a list of items and instructions. Financial gifts are welcome — checks written to Westminster (Emergency Food Drive in memo) or gift cards for Giant, ShopRite, and Wegmans. We will share all donations between The West Chester Food Cupboard and Kennett Area Community Service (KACS). Together, let’s love our neighbors and help ensure no family in our community goes hungry this season. Bags are available in the church office or in the Narthex on Sunday. Return items by November 23.

Have You Received Suspicious Emails from Westminster Staff?
November 20, 2025A number of members recently received an email claiming to be from from Pastor Eric. On closer look, these emails were not coming from Eric. They were coming from a false Gmail account, ReverendFather153@gmail.com. We’ve taken steps to stop the problem, but it could happen again. Here’s what you should know:
The church staff will NEVER email you to ask for gift cards, money, or special favors. They also won’t ask you if you’re free to communicate via email or text.
- If something in a subject line or an email looks suspicious or sounds out of character, it probably is. Read carefully.
- Check the origin email address, even if you recognize the sender’s name. You may need to click on the name for the full email address to be visible. Usually the false emails were sent from a Gmail account.
- Remember that all church emails do NOT end with gmail.com Church emails end with westminsterpc.org.
- Please let us know if you receive something suspicious so we can take action.
- Mark all false email as spam, phishing or move it to your junk email folder.
- If you’re still not sure about an email you received, call or text the staff member, send them a new email or contact the church office at 610-399-3377 before you reply.
