01/17/23 - MLK Day of Service: Bagged Lunches for The Vine Ministry

Time: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Location: Spellman Hall

Help us lean into the vision of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and The King Center this Monday (MLK Day of Service)! They “envision the Beloved Community where injustice ceases and love prevails.” We want to show this love to our neighbors who are challenged with food insecurity. In Chester County alone, there are over 11,000 children, 3,500 seniors and 3,400 disabled adults (age 18-59) who are considered food insecure. Together, we can provide 300+ bagged lunches to help them, even if just a little, with this insecurity. Whether you are a family of 6 or a family of one, join us by packing lunches at home or bring your items with you to pack them at the church (the Kitchen and Spellman are reserved). If you pack your meals at home, please deliver them to the church between 9-11 am on Monday, January 16 at the front portico entrance. We encourage you to use the attached Family Devotion at home, to surround your lunch-packing time, as well. Click here to signup for lunches. Questions? Contact Jill Reichert.
