Help Tend Our Gleaning Garden

Our gleaning garden is growing, and we need volunteers! Last year we donated over 500 pounds of herbs and produce. We will begin planting spinach, peppers, tomatillo, cucumbers, and herbs which are provided by the Chester County Food Bank Raised Bed program. Volunteer on a weekly or as-needed basis. No experience is needed. Signup sheets are on the outreach bulletin board outside Spellman Hall. Questions, or to receive more info, contact Anita Gordon or John Grillo.

Family Promise Volunteers Needed!

Family Promise helps homeless families get back on their feet. Families spend their days at a resource center, working with staff on job applications, budgets, childcare, and other things. They spend their evenings eating dinner, relaxing and resting at churches. Our host week is June 2-9, and we need volunteers for a variety of hospitality roles, including eating dinner and relaxing (like a family evening) or sleeping overnight (9pm – 6am duty with a separate sleeping room). Click here to signup. Questions? Contact Ruth Simonson, Jean Pitts, or Karen Bates.

Volunteers Needed for Safe Harbor in 2019

We need volunteers to help bag lunches and deliver them on August 19 and September 16. You would need to shop for supplies, assemble and deliver the bagged lunches. Click here to sign up. We also need volunteers to prepare a dinner on June 1 and July 6. Click here to signup. Dinners are prepared at home, and served to the women at the shelter. Questions or to volunteer, contact Angela Emrich.

Recap of the 2019 Creek Clean Up

Many thanks to those that helped at the Creek Cleanup! WPC's 15 volunteers helped collect a total of .78 tons plus 10 bike tires in West Goshen. Their effort to help God's Creation and provide clean drinking water for us all is greatly appreciated.
