A subcommittee is reviewing these and will prioritize them for the full team’s consideration. An interview process will follow. We will keep you updated as progress warrants. The average reusable tote bag has a lifespan equal to that of more than 700 plastic bags. One person using reusable shopping bags over their lifetime could remove more than 20,000 plastic bags from damaging our environment. So imagine what a whole congregation might accomplish in caring for God’s creation by replacing plastic bags with a new, blue, Westminster reusable bag. Be sure to pick up your free bag in the narthex this Sunday!
We are collecting old, broken Christmas lights for a recycling program until January 6. If the idea of all those lights ending up in a landfill does not feel right to you bring all your old, broken Christmas lights and deposit them in the collection bins. All proceeds will buy books, educational games, and puzzles for Toys for Tots. Questions? Contact Ann Hatfield.
Thank you all for your generous contributions to the Coat Drive and the Turkey collection in November. The response was amazing! We collected over 340 new and used coats and distributed them to eight nonprofits. They were very grateful for our donations. We also collected 105 turkeys and to be distributed through the Salvation Army!!
