Help Us Celebrate Jackie Steinmetz's Retirement

We encourage anyone who ever attended the preschool, parents of students, VBS kids, or families to join us in worship on September 25 when we celebrate and recognize Former Westminster Preschool Director, Jackie Steinmetz. Jackie served as the Director since the Preschool’s inception over 25 years ago. Following the 9:30 am service, we will hold a church-wide reception in Spellman Hall. We invite you to write a note, card, or draw a picture to give to her. You can also contribute to a monetary “Love Gift” which Jackie will receive in worship. Participation is completely voluntary and anonymous. If you would like to donate toward this gift, there are several ways to do so, click here for details or contact Ed McFalls.

Help Needed: Childcare @ Westminster

As we continue to open up more events and offer new experiences and ministries, we need to make sure our families can participate and be in leadership. That means we need to offer our support, as the church, to allow them to participate fully. We currently have childcare offered for children 6 months to 4 years on Sunday mornings for worship from 8:45am-12:15pm. However, we are seeking to move beyond just that offering. To help us do that, we’ll need additional volunteers AND to fill our vacant Childcare Coordinator. Contact Jill Reichert for more info.

  • Volunteers are needed to be part of the team to offer childcare at times that are outside of Sunday mornings (e.g., weekday evenings, special Saturday events, Sunday afternoons, etc.)
  • Childcare Coordinator needed (part-time; Sunday morning times required; times for coordinating staff schedules & events = flexible)

Anniversary of 9/11

On the 21st anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Westminster’s chapel is available from 11:00 am until noon as a place of contemplation, remembrance, and hope. In the chapel on Sunday, you will find a booklet offering suggestions for reflection, prayer, and healing spiritual practices.
