One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS)

OGHS is the single, most significant way Presbyterians join together to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world. Each gift provides relief from natural disasters, food for the hungry, and support for the poor and oppressed. Consider making a donation during the Lenten season by mailing a check to the church.

Participate in our Pup Ministry

Westminster's Dog Ministry is about connecting people with dogs to people who love dogs. Because of Covid-19, we are limiting ourselves to "Pupdates," monthly letters/emails with photos of the dogs and what they've been doing. If you have a pup who loves to tell their stories, we are looking for more people to join the ministry. Our current 'pupdate' recipients enjoy hearing how your dogs are enjoying their lives. Click here to meet some of our current pups. If you would like to receive monthly "pupdates" or you and your pup would like to join the pup ministry contact Judy Bianchi.

Outreach Leadership Opportunity

Westminster is a faith community committed to Knowing Christ, and Making Christ Known. Through our financial contributions, advocacy, and hands-on-service, we work together to Be the Church. Our Outreach Team meets monthly to provide leadership to our congregational Mission/Outreach efforts. If you are feeling called to serve in a leadership role on this Team, please contact Pastor Ann.

Pick Up Your One Great Hour of Sharing Fish Bank!

Westminster families: The One Great Hour of Sharing fish boxes have arrived! What is the One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS)? It’s a way to love God and love our neighbors! There are three programs that are supported by One Great Hour of Sharing: Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program and Self-Development of People. Each program works in a different way to serve individuals and communities in need. Every year Westminster participates in the OGHS special offering. Children can color and turn their fish box into a bank to save money to donate to this offering. This year the fish boxes will be available outside the church near the prayer wall. Families can drive by and pick up a fish box and add their prayers to the prayer wall. Questions or concerns? Contact Chris Clark or Diane DeSieno-Lane.

Lenten Opportunities

40 Days of Film: Movies for Lent
6:30pm Thursdays February 25 - March 25
Throughout Lent, each week we'll view a different movie and share in conversation together, reflecting on how these stories resonate with the themes of life, death, relationship, and joy. Join us virtually each Thursday or watch the movie with provided reflection questions at your convenience during the week. The majority of these films are most appropriate for ages 15+ and can foster great conversations among families of teens, friends, and adults. Interested in joining the group? Contact Chris Clark to signup for more info.
Walk the Stations of the Cross
Our Stations of the Cross are in each window of the Sanctuary. Brochures about the station are now available on the front entrance under the portico. Come and walk the stations of the cross around the building.
Lent Discussion Group on Facebook
Everyday during Lent (February 17 - April 3) we will post a daily devotion in a Facebook group for you to reflect, pray and discuss with your Westminster family. Click here to join the Facebook group.
Lent Daily Devotionals
Print out or read a digital Lenten daily devotional booklet that includes a scripture passage and devotion for you to use during this season of Lent. Interested in a digital copy? Contact Barb Drain. Would you like a printed version? Contact Barb Drain.
Lenten Prayer Wall
We are placing a prayer wall outside the church building during Lent. We invite you to add your prayers to our wall. You are welcome to offer as many prayers as you need, returning to this wall as often as you need. On a prayer strip, write a word or phrase to represent your prayer to God. Then weave it inside the ampersand shape, adding it to the prayers of our larger community. Questions? Contact Chris Clark.
