Ministry to Chester County Prison: Prayers & Notes

The men, women, and youth who live at Chester County Prison are experiencing extreme social isolation during this coronavirus epidemic. All visits except those of professionals have been suspended since the stay at home orders in March. No visits from family. No visits from re-entry volunteers. No chapel services. Consider being a source of encouragement for residents and staff at the prison by sending a handwritten note or a simple card. Please pray for Warden Edward McFadden and his administration, correction officers, food service and maintenance workers, nurses, Chaplain Heinrich Botes, the prisoners, and their families. Questions? Contact Rhoda McNitt. Here are a few guidelines:

  • Please do not use crayons, stickers, or glue
  • Please do not enclose anything
  • In your note you can write a prayer, a Bible verse, a drawing
  • Address your cards to "Prison Ministry for Staff" or "Prison Ministry for Resident" and send care of Westminster, 10 West Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382; cards will be collected and delivered to the prison
